Efficiency

One day, a Labour supporter, a National supporter and an ACT supporter go for a round of golf.

At the start of the fourth hole, they catch up to three elderly gentleman who are playing extremely slowly and seem to loose their golf ball after nearly every shot.

By the end of the ninth hole, the group has become quite frustrated with the delays and their complaints are overheard by one of the three elderly gentlemen who approaches them at the tenth tee. The man explains that his two older friends are in fact blind and apologies for their slow play as he must help them find their ball after every shot.

The Labour supporter immediately approaches the other two elderly gentlemen and, unheard to the others, spoke with the men for around five minutes before returning to the other two and explaining that he had apologiesed profusely and explained that he hadn't realised that they were blind. Next the National supporter approached the men and spoke to them for a while, they shook hands and he returned to the other two and he explained that the men had agreed to allow them to go ahead so they wouldn't hold them up any longer. Finally the ACT supporter approached the men and spoke with them for barely five seconds. The two elderly gentleman burst out laughing and clapped the ACT supporter on the back. He too returned to his friends and told them what he had told the blind gentlemen: "Really, you should be playing at night. You'll probably get a discount from the club too!"
