I'm an IT professional, with a degree in mathematics from the University of Auckland (where I've also taught as a TA in physics and mathematics). I am keen sportsman, having won Auckland athletics titles and completing 3 Ironman triathlons. I'm also a Christian of Jewish decent.
While born in Christchurch, I grew up in the Manurewa Electorate, South Auckland. In terms of political ideology I am a libertarian. As a result of my mathematics background the high degree of logical internal consistency it maintains when compared to other ideologies greatly appeals to me. I am the current Auckland ACT on Campus President.
I support letting peaceful people live their lives how they like, even if they're making personal choices radically different to those I would make as freedom is universally for all not just those I agree with (we don't have freedom of speech just for talking about the weather!). In addition I strongly believe we need smaller & more efficient government, as we can almost always spend our own money better than the government can spend it. Economically I'd describe myself as an Austrian with a dash of Chicago. I welcome any questions on my Facebook page.
